Hello, I’m Buffybuffa/PureDA. I want to share a bug that is useful for melee attackers who uses normal attack. It’s a long-standing “legacy bug” from the original Korean servers that was never fixed.
It’s simple.
The Core of the Bug:
- Shockwave: Can be used regardless of your rune.
- Faint & Guard Break: These strictly require Louise’s Rune to be learned and activated.
How to Exploit It:
- Equip a Louise’s Rune to your Guardian. This enables the use of Shockwave (Lv. 10), Faint, and Guard Break.
- Replace Louise’s Rune with another one (such as Sephira or Kochma). The Louise’s Rune will be destroyed.
- The Result: Unlike other skills that would deactivate, Guard Break and the Faint passive remain active even after the rune is gone.
This allows these two powerful skills to coexist with other 2nd skills like Shield Breaker or Glacial Shard. Since Guardian skills trigger every 2–3 seconds, maintaining these “illegal” activations provides a massive combat edge.
Crucial Note on Efficacy: You can cast Guard Break and Faint on high-level bosses, but neither will have any actual effect on them. However, they are 100% effective when grinding normal monsters or running the Mine PQ.
P.S. Guardian Graph Optimization:
- Recommendation: At least A3 and S4.
- A3: Necessary to access the skill trio (Shockwave, Faint, Guard Break).
- S4: For Shield Breaker (Path: Stone Strike → Armor Destruction → Lucky Seven → Shield Breaker).
- C-Type: C1 for general use; C2 for Magic types(Magic Defense Break + Skunk).
